Job Summary

This role works in collaboration with our Campus Engagement and Admissions teams to engage early college students, both residential and commuter, to reach full matriculation as Bethel students.  In this position, you will provide support and engagement opportunities, including events and one-on-one meetings, to junior and senior high school students enrolled in Bethel's PSEO program.  (PSEO stands for Postsecondary Enrollment Option and is a Minnesota program that allows high school students to take college courses earning both high school and college credit.)

Responsibilities

1. Student Engagement & Support – 45%

  • Develop and implement engagement opportunities for PSEO Students and commuter students.
  • Provide individualized one-to-one connection and support opportunities through relationship development and communication with PSEO and commuter students.
  • Support students as part of Student Life’s Student Care process.


2. Campus Partnerships & Orientation Leadership – 30%

  • Build partnerships with on-campus resources to engage PSEO students.
  • Provide leadership to the Welcome Week Transitions Committee alongside the Associate Dean for
    Campus Engagement.
  • Train and develop student leaders and oversee the implementation of Welcome Week programming.


3. Recruitment & Re-Enrollment – 25%

  • Complete administrative work and documentation of ongoing status of prospective students.
  • Work closely with the Office of Admissions for oversight and development of all aspects of strategic planning for PSEO recruitment and re-recruitment.

Experience

Required Experience:

  • 2+ years of related experience.
  • Previous experience planning events.

Education

Required Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree.

Additional Information

Travel: This position requires no travel.


Work Environment:
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as desktop and/or laptop computers, photocopiers and smartphones.

Expected Hours of Work:

Typically, days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, with the expectation to work specific schedules and hours as identified and communicated by management. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. This is a 40 hour per week, 12 months per year position.
