  • Job Summary

    To process payroll for Bethel University student workers and to process payroll transactions for Bethel University faculty and staff. Responsible for processing, creating, and administering the requisition and purchase order process.


    • Process student payroll, including entry of payroll information, check printing, direct deposit submittal, and distribution.
      Facilitate the process of creating purchase orders in Banner. Monitor the process of: electronic requisitions, purchase order creation, approvals, access, data entry, in order to create an efficient procurement system for the end user.
    • Process change orders to purchase orders and cancel existing purchase orders.
    • Process staff payroll checks and direct deposit.
    • Administer university wide agreements and multiple department orders with vendors including office supplies, bottled water, bus requests, and secure document shredding/ disposal. Act as liaison between staff and vendor. Keep and maintain current and new users, Banner budget numbers, locations, and contact information.
    • Assist with fiscal year end processes including creation of standing purchase orders and cancelling prior year purchase orders. Assist with communication of tax-exempt information, credit applications, state and federal forms required with vendors.

    Required Skills

    • Must be detail oriented and have strong organizational skills.
    • Ability to work well with individuals across the organization is necessary.
    • Must have a proven proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
    • Must be able to work in an environment with frequent interruptions, be able to multi task, and prioritize.
    • Must possess clear and accurate written and verbal communication skills and a proven ability to serve customers well is necessary.


    Required Experience

    2+ years of customer service experience and data entry skills required

    Required Education

    High School degree or equivalent required

    Additional Information

    • Must be able to work in a sitting position at a computer workstation for extended periods of time.
    • Monday - Friday, 40 hour per week, 12 month position.
