  • Job Summary

    To oversee all accounts payable, purchase order and payroll functions of Bethel University.


    • Oversees the accounts payable process. 
    • Oversees the corporate credit card and prepaid debit card processes. 
    • Oversees payroll processing.
    • Oversees purchase order process.
    • Manage onsite cash vault. Oversee receipts and disbursements.
    • Administers the accounting for governmental aid programs and grants. 
    • Processes calendar year end payroll tasks including W-2 processing. Assists with fiscal year-end close and annual audit. 

    Required Skills

    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite required.
    • Must have demonstrated strong supervisory skills.
    • Must be a proven self-starter and be able to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Must be detail-oriented and have effective oral and written communication skills.
    • Must be able to organize, prioritize, and handle multiple duties.
    • Must have shown a proven ability to manage details.
    • Individual must be able to handle sensitive, confidential information in a mature, professional manner. 

    Required Experience

    4+ years of related experience. Previous experience with Banner (or other enterprise database system) is preferred.

    Required Education

    Bachelor's required in specific field.

    Additional Information

    • Must be able to work in a sitting position at a computer for extended periods of times. 
    • This is a 1.0 FTE, 12 months per year position.
