  • Job Summary

    Key campus partner with Campus Ministries to support Chapel and Vespers services. Assist Manager of Conference and Event Technical Services.


    • Collaborate with Campus Ministries to support weekly Chapel and Vespers services.
    • Provide support for event or concerts as assigned.
    • Provide audio support for event or concerts as assigned.
    • In collaboration with supervisor, review weekly student tech schedules with ensuring proper coverage of conferences, events, and concerts. Train student workers on assigned tasks when request by supervisor.
    • Maintain and evaluate all sound systems on a regular basis. This includes Benson Great Hall, Seminary Chapel and Lower Campus Center, Eastlund Room, Olson Boardroom, the Underground, Robertson Center Gym, Wellness Center, Anderson Center community room, Sports and Recreation Center, Ona Orth Complex, Football Stadium, and Baseball Stadium. Make recommendations on necessary repairs.

    Required Skills

    • Ability to patch lighting, audio, and special effects systems through a DMX system.
    • Ability to perform audio mixing, both analog and digital.
    • Skilled in ProTools software to record and post media.
    • Preferred knowledge in Keynote, ProPresenter, and Easy Worship software programs.

    Required Experience

    Minimum of two years’ experience with large format sound systems; ability to learn new software. Demonstrated ability to supervise a team.

    Required Education

    High school diploma required, Bachelor’s degree preferred.

    Additional Information

    • 1.00 FTE, 12 months. Will be required to work some evenings and weekends; occasional holidays as events require.
    • Will be required to climb ladders, spiral staircase, catwalk areas, and stationary clouds at very high heights. 
    • Must be willing to rig equipment above audience seating areas. Frequent standing and walking for extended periods of time. 
    • It involves working with others in close quarters. 
    • Some work may be performed outdoors in various weather conditions. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will likely be required to load, set up, strike, and unload event equipment. 
    • The following movements may also be required: bending, squatting, stooping, kneeling, climbing stairs, pushing/pulling up to 75 pounds, reaching above shoulder level, waist twisting, carrying/lifting up to 50 pounds, gripping/grasping, and repetitive hand and arm movements. 
    • The employee may be required to access areas that are not ADA compliant.
