  • Job Summary

    Provides counsel to students regarding their student accounts from all programs of Bethel University. Liaisons with students enrolled in specialized programs.

    Responsibilities

    • Provides counsel and customer service to students from all programs of the University regarding their student accounts, including: parents of College of Arts & Sciences students, problem solving account issues, responding to questions or concerns, and explaining Bethel procedures and policies. 
    • Manages the billing and payment processing for all students that are in the military or are a veteran. Answers students’ questions and coordinates with federal program administrators
    • Administers and distributes the Title IV funds that are applied to student accounts. Working along with the Office of Financial Aid, assuring compliance with Federal Regulations, including prior year balances issues. 
    • Manages the billing procedures for International Studies Programs. 
    • Assists with managing the Business Office email inbox 
    • Liaisons with BUILD program and families. Works with families to create individualized payment plans as needed. 

    Required Skills

    • Must possess strong organizational and problem solving skills. 
    • Ability to balance multiple tasks and functions in a fast-pace, and stressful environment is necessary. 
    • Must be comfortable working as a team as well as independently in a professional and confident manner. 
    • Must be detailed oriented and proficient in Microsoft Office. 
    • Requires good verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate with a diverse clientele.

    Required Experience

    • Two to three years of customer service or student accounts and financial aid experience. 
    • Previous experience with Banner (or other enterprise database system) is preferred.

    Required Education

    Bachelor’s degree required.

    Additional Information

    This position is a 40 hours per week, 12 months position.
