Job Summary

Develop, implement, integrate and support new and existing web and network-based applications through collaborating and partnering with internal and external resources. Engage individuals across the University to identify opportunities to increase productivity, system performance and/or business/user efficiency through the use of applications, modeling a culture of planning and consistent experience utilizing Project Management methods and tools.


  • Integrate and maintain current devices, servers, software and applications.
  • Support existing solutions, reactively and proactively work with customers, partner with Help Desk on community engagement, and respond to outages as needed.
  • Partner on application centric projects including evaluation, purchase, and setup of applications.
  • Maintain a catalog of all University applications, project management information and associated documentation. 

Required Skills

  • Experience in the installation, setup, maintenance and support of complex applications
  • Experience supporting enterprise level software
  • Experience with database administration and integration of web-based applications
  • Understanding of Unix server administration and basic network principles
  • Effective oral and written communication skills and ability to build and maintain positive working relationships
  • Demonstrated ability to identify, prioritize and complete tasks in an environment of competing priorities
  • Demonstrates effective project management skills
  • Experience and ability to work well as a team within a matrixed work environment

Required Experience

2+ years of related experience

Required Education

Bachelor's or Master's in specific functional field required

Additional Information

  • Must be able to sit for long periods of time in front of a computer.
  • This position is 1 FTE, 12 months per year.
  • Possible evening and weekend support.
