Job Summary

Supervise and advance management of ITS inventory including hardware and software.


  • Provide oversight of hardware and software purchases and orders to meet Bethel’s computing needs. Research and identify continuous improvement aimed at delivering superior equipment and software investments. 
  • Managing a detailed inventory of assets (including both hardware and software) to help with decisions about procurement, redistribution and oversight of secure disposal. 
  • Inventory hardware and software licenses for network and systems teams. Assist with monitoring for updates and end-of-life support issues. 
  • Actively monitor resource utilization including hardware, software and associated licensing. 
  • Capturing the financial information about the hardware life cycle to aid the organization in making business decisions based on meaningful and measurable financial objectives

  • Demonstrated ability to apply analytical and critical thinking skills to resolve issues and identify solutions
  • Working knowledge of Windows PC’s and Macintosh computers. 
  • Familiarity with mobile operating systems
  • Understanding of basic networking.
  • Outstanding customer service skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills. 
  • High comfort level working directly with customers.
  • Experience with case management/inventory systems.
  • Basic knowledge of remote support tools
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Certified software asset manager (SAM) or Certified IT Asset Management (CITAM) preferred. 

Required Experience

4+ years of specific functional experience in IT management role; supervisory and leadership experience preferred

Required Education

Bachelor degree required.

Additional Information

  • Must be able to work in a sitting job at a computer for extended periods of time.
  • Daily activities involve frequent interruptions and re-tasking.
  • 1 FTE, 12 months per year position.
