Job Summary

Provide day-to-day leadership and management to recruitment staff for post-traditional programs, licenses and certificates, providing direction and training for recruitment efforts, reporting enrollment numbers and progress for all programs, and working with Director to analyze and develop strategic plans in order to meet or exceed enrollment goals.


  • Provide leadership in developing and deploying recruiting processes and training for all lead counselors. 
  • In collaboration with Lead Counselors, motivate staff to meet and exceed enrollment goals – including a regular review of daily activities and regular review of results against target. 
  • Partner with Director to develop cross-departmental lead generation strategies that support enrollment efforts throughout the recruiting cycle. 
  • Assist in the regular collection and distribution of post-traditional enrollment data and reports to support institutional reporting and decision-making needs. 
  • Participates in various external promotion events (college fairs, etc.)

Required Skills

  • Must thrive in a goal-oriented work environment; proven track record in creating a healthy and effective “sales -oriented” culture.
  • Must have an aptitude for numbers and be able to communicate numerical information to multiple audience levels (e.g. counselors through senior executives).
  • Must be a creative problem solver who responds to challenges with solutions.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite required.
  • Must be a proven self-starter and be able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must be able to organize, prioritize, and handle multiple duties.
  • Individual must be able to handle sensitive, confidential information in a mature, professional manner.

Required Experience

4+ years of experience in specific field required; Experience in sales and management preferred. Strong preference for experience in higher education or adult education recruitment, admissions, or marketing.

Required Education

Bachelor's required; Master's preferred.

Additional Information

  • Office environment.
  • Must be able to work in a sitting position at a computer for extended periods. 
  • This position is 1 FTE, 12-months per year position.
  • Often requires evening and weekend work.
  • Includes some travel.
