    This is a live-in position.



    Manage a residence facility, foster Christian community, and work with a student staff to create a robust living and learning environment for undergraduate students.



    • Cultivate relationships with students in your residence area.
    • Supervise and develop a student staff of Resident Assistants.
    • Manage student care in the residence hall; including emergency responses, on-call rotations, participation in the restorative discipline process, counseling/advising students, and administrative follow-up.
    • Develop educational strategies that support Bethel’s residential curriculum learning outcomes.
    • Perform administrative responsibilities for the residence hall including management of a budget and organization of housing details.  
    • Participate in regular supervisory and Residence Life meetings.
    • Contribute to committees and projects as assigned.

    • Ability to manage the details of a residence area and supervise student staff.
    • Ability to promote biblical principles of community, reconciliation, and intercultural engagement.
    • Ability to work with a diverse student population in a variety of settings.
    • Ability to work collaboratively.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

    Required Experience

    The position requires experience working with college-aged students and knowledge of a college campus environment. Direct experience in campus residence life is preferred.

    Required Education

    The position requires a baccalaureate degree. A master’s degree in the areas of Student Affairs, College Student Personnel, Counseling, or a related field is preferred.

    This is a live-in position. Compensation includes salary and housing. Resident Directors are also provided with an iPhone and computer to assist in managing their responsibilities.
