Job Summary

Oversee the evening cleaning, event needs, and light maintenance of the secured offices and townhouse offices.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise a student crew to complete nightly and event cleaning. Ensure student crew cleans assigned areas effectively and efficiently. 
  • Assist in nightly cleaning. Provides exceptional customer service to Bethel community through the completion of event set up needs, daily work orders, and special requests. 
  • Works with student team to complete KaiVac cleaning of Locker Rooms and Bathrooms. 
  • Seasonal duties including assisting with snow removal at entrances as needed.

Required Skills

  • Working knowledge of swing machines, floor scrubbers and vacuums preferred. 
  • Must be able to work individually and as part of a team.
  • Ability to effectively lead and motivate others is essential.
  • Must have a strong service orientation, organizational and communication skills, supervisory experience, and exceptionally high standards. 
  • Basic computer skills required (email, online forms, browsing)
  • Must have a strong customer orientation and be committed to building a team that provides superior service to Bethel and local community.

Required Experience

2+ years of related experience required

Required Education

High school degree required; Post-high school training/coursework preferred.

Additional Information

  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Requires working in and around chemicals. 
  • This position is considered essential personnel and must be available outside of normal working hours if needed to support contingency operations such as snow removal or support of special events.
  • Complies with environmental health and safety requirements and procedures as outlined in University and State policies and directives.
  • Monday-Friday 5:00 p.m.-1:30 a.m., 40 hours, 12 months
  • Position may require working up to 1 Saturday evening per month.
  • Vacation is limited around the start and end of the school year.
  • This position is considered essential personnel and must be available outside of normal working hours if needed to support contingency operations such as snow removal or support of special events.
  • Complies with environmental health and safety requirements and procedures as outlined in University and State policies and directives.
