Job Summary

Assists the Director in the over-all administration and management of the Bethel University Child Development Centers’ financial affairs

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates billing, managing wait list, CCM, center tours, and organizing files and data. Coordinates facility operations and safety to conducts and document monthly tornado and fire drills.
  • Assists the Director and staff in ensuring compliance with licensing requirements. Receives and responds appropriately to faxes, emails, mail, phone calls; orders and manages office supplies and other inquiries
  • Manages the BUCDC wait list and organize enrollment scheduling process. Other administrative tasks; key areas include student files, enrollment and attendance information, financial documentation; drafts reports as requested;
  • Coordinates facility use; maintains updated calendars, newsletter, and emails for events and meetings. Ensure location is secured for scheduled events/trainings 
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Director, including data collection for Reaccreditation or project support

Required Skills

  • Knowledge of financial/business management techniques
  • Ability to multi-task and complete assignments in a timely manner.
  • Ability to develop and maintain recordkeeping systems and procedures.
  • Ability to process computer data and to format and generate reports.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to gather data, compile information and prepare reports.
  • Ability to make administrative/procedural decision and judgments.
  • Ability to support Bethel University’s faith covenant.

 

Required Experience

2+ years of office experience required; experience in a CDC preferred. Experience working with children with special needs, learning disabilities and IEPs

Required Education

Child Development Associate credential or Bachelor’s degree in early childhood development or education preferred

Additional Information

Must be able to work in a sitting position at a computer for extended periods of time. May require physical activity; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects up to 40 pounds. Physical work is a limited part of job.
CPR and First Aid Certification required within 60 days of date of hire.

This is a 12-month, 24 hours per week
