Job Summary

Support fundraising and alumni relations activities at BSSD in partnership with Advancement and Seminary leadership.


  • Coordinate and implement development-related events in partnership with Advancement staff and Seminary staff (i.e. Vision dinners) and partner with Development in the creation of communications such as BSSD newsletters, flyers, brochures and mass appeals. 
  • Update, monitor and report on BSSD donor contacts, creating lists and giving reports. Help to maintain good, open communication with Advancement and Seminary staff. 
  • Assure that all donor gifts (current and deferred) are delivered to the appropriate Advancement office. Coordinate donor acknowledgment for BSSD donors. 
  • Work with Advancement Services to assure all gifts are accurately posted and that thank you notes to new donors and larger donors are sent in a timely fashion with appropriate signers. 
  • Other development-related tasks as assigned by Dean or AVP Development

Required Experience

1+ years of general office work required; prior experience in event planning and the field of development/advancement is preferred.

Required Education

Post-high school training/coursework required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.


Additional Information

  • Must be able to work in a sitting position at a computer for extended periods of time.
  • 20 hours week/12 months; some events may require evening or weekend hours.
