Job Summary

Provide primary registrar services to Bethel University constituents, mainly College of Arts and Sciences (CAS).


  • Processes registration changes, individualized courses, and individualized registrations (such as summer school, dual enrollment with CAPS/SEM/GS, and other non-degree registrations). 
  • Receives and responds to incoming communications (mail, fax, email, phone, and in person) 
  • Processes student stop-out and withdrawal education records. Responsible for student data changes and other student data maintenance. 
  • Manage outgoing communications and schedules (phone tree, announcements,)
  • Maintains inventory; coordinates with facilities, print services, and other offices for maintenance; and orders supplies for the department.

Required Skills

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with relational databases preferred.
  • Able to learn, understand, and distribute policy information.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to interact effectively with faculty, students, administrators and staff are required.
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to critically assess and evaluate individual requests and accurately and consistently apply policy and process. Must critically evaluate requests to ensure accuracy.
  • Proven self-starter and be able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must be able to handle sensitive, confidential information in a mature, professional manner.
  • Understanding of liberal arts education is preferred.

Required Experience

2+ years of experience required; Experience in a registrar’s office or similar academic administrative situation or professional office experience preferred.

Required Education

Post-high school training/coursework required; Bachelor's degree preferred.

Additional Information

Must be able to work in a sitting position at a computer for extended periods of time.
This is a 40 hours per week, 12 months per year position. Will require some nights and weekends during registration.
